I’ve had a break from programming, but (other than my recent vacation) I haven’t had a break from work. I have been busy doing all sorts of things like trying to learn how to podcast, working with a new digital camera and learning how to edit digital pictures, learning about Odysseyware, checking out some new cd rom games and handheld educational games, and other activities to prepare for the Fall session. We are thinking about using Odysseyware as an online educational tool for the WizKids to use at home. It offers full courses in all the core subjects including Language Arts, Math and Science. It is available for most grades including 6th-12th grade students. It is lacking in graphics and educational distractions outside of reading and exercises in the Language Arts section. I have not had an opportunity to check out the other subjects. It appears to be a great tool, but may not offer enough “excitement” for the WizKids to want to utilize it.
So what did you learn about odysseyware? I am investigating good virtual school solutions.
